The ‘Naturally Better’ Employee Recognition Program celebrates extraordinary achievements by staff each year. Staff can be nominated by members of the public, co-workers, elected member or Mayor.
For the second year running Symon received a nomination from a rate payer, an author, where he is commended for his excellent and professional service, “Symon’s customer service is outstanding and can only reflect favourably on the Library and Council as a whole” .

The winner of the award was Vic Thompson who is responsible for the removal of graffiti across the city.
